Q1: How does the process work?
Our priority at My Secret Fountain of Youth is to facilitate the needs of our clientele, so we have tailored this process to be as easy and fluid as possible. The first step is the contact us with your desired goal; we will then ask you to fill out the necessary forms that will help us evaluate your needs and prepare us for your preliminary consultation. Upon receipt, your forms will be carefully evaluated by our service and medical team. We will then request a phone appointment at your convenience at which time the surgeon will connect with you one on one. During this phone consultation, you will discuss the submitted forms as well as any additional inquiries you may have. This will help us develop your initial estimate. However, your final estimate will be available once you meet face to face with the doctor in Penang. Once the dates are confirmed, and you have booked your flight we will then assist you with your hotel options. A deposit will be required to hold your land package as well as the payment of the coordination fee*. All you have to do is send us your flight details, and your personal concierge will be at the airport to greet you upon your arrival in Penang. The My Secret Fountain of Youth team will take care of all the details of your procedures and support you while recovering in Penang.

Q2: Does MSFOY arrange all of your flights and accommodations?
The only flight you will have to book is your flight to and from Penang. We will book your accommodations throughout your stay in Penang, and if you wish, we can book additional hotels and tours to accommodate your visit.

Q3: Why Penang?
There are many reasons, but the most important are The 3 C’s; the ease of Communication, the Cost and the quality of Care.

Communication: All of our doctors and their staff speak English fluently. Rest assured your interaction will be effortless.

Cost: Surgery here is typically at least half the cost as it is in the Australia, Europe, Hong Kong, New Zealand or the US.

Care: All of our Surgeons trained in South Korea, the UK or in the US. The hospitals, medical and dental clinics that we collaborate with adhere to the same high standards as in the western countries and are among the most advanced medical facilities in South East Asia. Medical tourism is heavily promoted by the government and assures quality care, proper regulation, and safety standards to all medical tourists.

The MSFOY team are not the only people who know how great Malaysian surgeons and dentists are. The International Medical Travel Journal awarded Malaysia the number one destination for medical travel in April of 2015.

Q4: When can I travel?
You can explore Penang before or after the surgery. If you choose the latter, you have to be recuperated and cleared by your surgeon. Your personal concierge can assist you with your travels and the tour packages that are right you.

Q5: What happens if something goes wrong?
Complications due to plastic surgery are typically less than 1% globally; some of our hospitals and or surgeons offer a surgery guarantee. For your peace of mind, you may take out medical insurance with Global Protective Solutions before traveling. We will be with you while you are here, so any concerns that you may have can be handled immediately.

Q6: Do you offer medical insurance?
No, but we refer people to a third party insurance agency called Global Protective Solutions. www.globalprotectivesolutions.com. Your standard travel insurance does not typically cover medical tourism.

My Secret Fountain of Youth, Ltd. has partnered with Custom Assurance Placements, Ltd. providers of Global Protective Solutions (GPS).  The GPS program is the leading global provider of specialized insurance that provides the needed benefits unique to the international medical traveler; the program is underwritten by Certain Underwriters, Lloyds London.

All medical travel and procedures carry a certain amount of risk. Unfortunately, complications and accidents can and do occur.  Your enrollment to the cover provided by Global Protective Solutions helps to lessen and mitigates the risk that may arise.

First the program provides benefits for travel-related accidents, injury and illness benefits that are normally associated but not provided by Normal or Standard trip/travel insurance.

Nearly all standard travel insurance policies have universal exclusions for people who travel to receive medical / dental treatments or procedures. Because of this exclusion these policies provide no benefits whatsoever for those engaged in international medical travel.

Secondly, GPS provides a wide-ranging benefits package in the event of a medical complication arising from a scheduled procedure. These complication benefits are in effect during surgery, while in the host country and for 180 days after surgery, even after the medical traveler has returned home.

Q7: What happens if I change my mind after booking?
Things happen and sometimes people change their minds; it is human nature. We will gladly refund your coordination fee, less a processing charge of $US375. You may be able to get a full or partial refund depending on the hotel policy of your choice.

Q8: Do you have surgeries for men?
Most certainly we do; men have the same concerns about their appearance and health as women do. Our surgeons perform everything from face-lifts and cell therapy to male breast reduction. Our procedures list is merely a sample of the most common surgeries. Let us know if there is another procedure that you are interested in, and we will connect you with the perfect surgeon to accommodate your needs.

Q9: Who is a good candidate for plastic surgery?
Men and Women who are in good health both emotionally and physically are suitable candidates. Your surgeon will review all of your forms and medical history to be sure.

Q10: Who is NOT a good candidate for plastic surgery?
Anyone who is not in good health, under 18 years of age, has a history of mental illness, or is feeling pressured by someone else to have surgery, is not a good candidate. Having plastic surgery is a big decision and not to be taken lightly. If you smoke and are unable to stop for a while before and after surgery, this is not the time for any operation. Smoking can cause significant complications and or adverse reactions during and after the surgery so you must be honest with yourself as well with your surgeon.

*-The coordination fee is what we earn for arranging your trip, working as a liaison with your surgeon and hospital, booking your land package and transportation, and ensuring that you have support while in Penang. This fee is variable but typically ranges from $500 to $1,000 USD.
